Coordinator, Coordinated Care Program for Complex Moms and Babies
Dr. Roth has been a nurse for 40 years and has worked in all areas of women’s health since 1981. She is currently the nurse practitioner in HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea’s level III high-risk obstetrics unit. Her duties include clinical oversight of the antepartum high-risk unit, responsibility for all nursing research projects on her units and assistance with education. As coordinator of the Coordinated Care Program for Complex Moms and Babies (CCC), she manages an innovative program to support patients with high-risk diagnoses during pregnancy, delivery and throughout the postpartum stay. She is the 2020 past-president of the AWHONN National Board of Directors. Dr. Roth is an active member of the HonorHealth Nursing Research Council and sits on the HonorHealth IRB. She has presented both internationally and nationally on many topics, including fetal monitoring and high-risk pregnancy. She received her doctoral degree in Global Nursing from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2014; her dissertation was titled “Human Factors Contributing to Nursing Errors.” She has multiple publications in Nursing for Women’s Health, Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic, & Neonatal Nursing, The Journal of Nursing Administration, Nursing Forum and The American Journal of Maternal/Child Nursing.
